Mr. Langaigne joined the President’s Award of Trinidad and Tobago in 2021 as the Chairman of the Training and Operations Sub-Committee. Mr. Langaigne is currently employed at the MIC Institute of Technology as an Assistant General Manager attached to the Training Division, where he joined as an Engineer in Training (EIT) attached to the Engineering Department in 2011. Upon completion, he served as an Engineer in the Training Division and then as the Programme Manager for the Industrial Craft Programme (ICP). Mr. Langaigne has accomplished his BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, Post Graduate Advanced Training in Manufacturing Engineering and MA in Leadership in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Workforce Development (WfD). He has gained a considerable amount of training in Performance Management, OSHA, and Human Resources. Mr. Langaigne was also afforded the opportunity to pursue the Bullet Proof Management (BPM) programme at CRESTCOM. He has gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge which paved the way towards his appointment in his current job role and function where he is responsible for the governance of the delivery of various training programmes. Since the Training Division is regarded as the largest Division in the organization, the primary role of the Assistant General Manager is geared towards the effective coordination of training and development programmes for the institution. The Assistant General Manager implements effective strategies and methods for enhancing the Division’s performance and follows up with the leadership and management of all departments/ units in order to ensure that the relevant entities involved fulfil their role successfully.
Mr. Langaigne is a dedicated, goal-oriented professional with wide variety of engineering and training competencies. Accumulated eleven (11) years management and supervisory experience in the fields of engineering, education and administration. Equally capable of working independently and as an adaptable team member demonstrated by working with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
