Delivering the Award
Any organisation that works directly with young people can deliver the Award programme. It offers an opportunity to enhance the developmental activities that you deliver by way of international accreditation, further building the participant’s skills. The Award can be delivered by schools, youth groups, sports clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, and Cadets, as well as by government divisions.
Why Deliver the Award?

Become an Award Centre

Award Centres are managed by Adult volunteers who fill the roles of Award Coordinator, Award Leaders, or trainers.

How can the Award Programme Work With Policy Makers
Incorporating the Award Programme into the Developmental Agenda
From schools to correctional facilities to youth organisations, the Award framework can support and thrive in a multitude of different environments. Any 14 – 24 year old can take part, regardless of ability, background or experience.
Around the world, the Award framework directly supports the implementation of many education and youth policies, helping to address some of the common, yet complex challenges facing young people today, such as education, employment and youth mental health. With these issues – and many more – continuing to amplify, there is no better time to ensure young people have the tools they need to tackle a new ‘normal’.
The Award Leader’s aim is to help young people access the life-changing Award opportunity and mentor them as they set goals, choose activities, and work towards completing their Award. We provide Award Leaders with training, access to resources and support materials, and staff support to answer questions along the way.

How the Award Programme Works With Educators

Investing in our young people, our communities and our future
Schools worldwide have always strived to offer a broad and balanced curriculum. More and more, educators, policy makers and education regulators are recognizing the importance of learning outside the classroom, and the opportunities that can be created to develop the skills, behaviours and attitudes needed for adult life and work. The Award programme supplements the formal curriculum, as a proven non-formal education and learning framework that provides the opportunity for young people to develops confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged learners by creating opportunities for young people to make decisions, develop skills, get physically active, give service to their local community and experience adventure. It rewards and celebrates achievement through a simple, globally recognised, certification system.
Become part of a Global Network of Educators
